About the Author - Jason Bean
Greetings from Indianapolis! My name is Jason Bean and I’ll be your resident in residence at Indianapolis.IsMyHome.com.
To give you a little idea about myself and my history with Indianapolis, I should mention that I’m a foreigner. I’m originally from Kentucky and spent four years in college in Ohio. Shortly after graduation I ended up in Franklin, TN, just south of Nashville where I was living happily. That is until I heard about a little lady that I now call my wife. I did my best to convince her to move south, but she didn’t quite like that idea. Seems since all of her family was here in town and I had some family of my own here, it was much easier for me to relocate.
I’ve been happy in Indianapolis and really believe it’s a great city with lots to offer. I can say the only thing I really miss is more hills and warmer weather for a greater part of the year, other than that, things are great in the Circle City. What more can you ask for if you’re interested in sports with the Colts, Indians, Pacers and all the racers. For music you’ve got loads of venues like Conseco, The Vogue, The Murat and Deer Creek.
For my real job I’m a business consultant and web application developer. I also run my own web design company, and there’s always my blogging. I started with my personal blog, =)Bnpositive’s Blog. I then got the opportunity to be a part of a new start-up blog network called b5media. I’m currently the author on three b5 blogs:
- The Unofficial Microsoft Weblog (www.microsoftweblog.com)
- Uncover the Internet (www.uncovertheinternet.com)
- Christian Music Fan (www.christianmusicfan.com)
A few of the other blogs I’ve been a writer for on the b5media network are:
- CSI:Fanatic (www.csifanatic.com)
- Office 12 Watch / Office Tweaks (www.office12watch.com)
- Emerging Earth (www.emergingearth.com)
- Idol Stalker (www.idolstalker.com)
I then heard about an opportunity for a new blog idea with the Bloggy Network, and now the rest as you could say is history. So, welcome to the blog, which in turn I hope welcomes you to Indianapolis. If you’re an Indy blogger yourself, I’d love to hear from you and share some link love. Otherwise, we’ll just meet as we meander around these “tubes” and have a little fun in the process.
