Collective Soul Concert on Saturday

I’m not sure where you’ll be on Saturday, but I’m going to be rocking out to Collective Soul, Live and Counting Crows on Saturday at Victory Field.

The concert is part of the Rock & Roll Triple Play tour showing up at minor league baseball parks all over the U.S.

Considering this will be the first concert of this size at Victory Field, it’s a must see event. Also considering that Collective Soul will be there, there no other reason than that to go to the concert either.

I was first really introduced to Collective Soul after watching their “Home” DVD which was filmed live with the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra. Don’t get me wrong, I had heard and enjoyed their big hits like December and others, but the “Home” DVD was an experience that left a mark.

I watched that DVD back-to-back-to-back I don’t know how many times. It’s amazing!

I also caught the group for a free concert they did at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Race-for-the-Cure event with Lance Armstrong.

After that event, I was talking to a friend of mine, who said he knew Collective Soul’s drummer and I about knocked him down! I told him the next time they were in the area he had to get me tickets. He came through, so I’ll be at the concert on Saturday.
