Tommy Davidson at Morty’s Comedy Club Tonight
Author: Jason Bean, Category: Celebrities, Comedy, Humor, North Side, Things To Do in Indy
Who can forget this scrawny little comedian that made some of the funniest moments in television and movies? My favorite is probably his African warrior character from Ace Venture 2: When Nature Calls.
Now you can catch him live and in person at Morty’s Comedy Club tonight through Sunday night. Get all the details here at Morty’s Comedy Club website.

Property Tax Increases for Lake Front Property
Author: Jason Bean, Category: Humor, Real Estate, Weather
A friend of mine sent me this photo of the recent floods and I began wondering if many Hoosier residents should expect some property tax increases for their new lakefront property?
It doesn’t look too bad until you notice the 5ft mailboxes that are almost covered.

You’ve Come Along Way Baby
Author: Jason Bean, Category: Health, Humor, Indianapolis Star, News, Weather
My brother brought my attention to this photo that was on the front page of the IndyStar website this morning.
Seems like a good time for a smoke right? Carrying a kid across a flooded road or something? I mean you want to protect them from danger right? All this rain and flooding has been killing people. Yep, so does smoking!
Guess smoking really is a stress reliever. I’m sure this situation was pretty stressful. Oh wait! It’s not even lit. Probably a good thing for the boy.
At least one of the three butts in this picture are still dry.

Indiana Student Graduates with Perfect Attendance
Author: Jason Bean, Category: Education, High Schools, Humor, News, People, Students, WISH - Channel 8
I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been impressed with anyone that’s boasted about perfect attendance. My theory is that when you’re an adult you get to take vacation and sick days. Why don’t we get the same sort of flexibility as students? Being a full-time student after all is our job.
Cherie Pieper graduated from Northeast Dubois High School in 1989 with perfect attendance through 12 years, and she challenged her daughter to do the same. So last month, 18-year-old Arielle Pieper also graduated from Dubois with the same perfect attendance record.
Congratulations to the Piepers, but I just don’t see what the benefit is and award of having accomplished it. I also wonder how many times they went to school when they were sick and got other kids sick that ended up missing.
If I’m missing something here, will someone please explain it to me?

A Colts Joke for the Weekend
Author: Jason Bean, Category: Humor, Indianapolis Colts
Four football fans - a Cowboys fan, a Chargers fan, a Colts fan, and a Patriots fan - are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more.
The Cowboys fan insists he is the most loyal. ‘This is for the Cowboys!’ he yells, and jumps off the side of the mountain.
Not to be outdone, the Chargers fan shouts, ‘This is for the Chargers!’ and throws himself off the mountain.
The Colts fan is next to profess his love for his team.
He yells, ‘This is for everyone!’ and pushes the Patriot fan off the mountain.
Go Colts!

The Week Between
Author: Jason Bean, Category: General, Humor
It’s that wonderful time of year where things just seem to be in a refreshing state of limbo. It’s like it’s a non-time window of our lives. That week between Christmas and New Years. Does much happen for anyone during this week?
I know many employers have the week between as a general vacation time for their employees. Some are forced, others encouraged and others are just given it as a gift from their employers.
What about you? What are you doing this week?
I’ve been recovering from the weeks leading up till Christmas. Been doing loads and loads of laundry and other house cleaning. Enjoying being home with my family. Also enjoying the flexibility I have with my job(s) in being able to work from home or just about anywhere else with an Internet connection.
